Maudie was born in June of 2024 and she quickly stole our hearts. She is out of WOF Bill’s Lil Darlin and by CF’s The Hustler. Her 3-month string test puts her as maturing at just a hair over 15hh. From the beginning she was a people lover. She would lay for an hour or more with her head in your lap as a young foal. As she’s grown, she’s continued to be super sweet and inquisitive. She is a quick learner and as a young foal, learned to lead well, load on a trailer, and stand for the farrier. In the arena, she crosses bridges and cans and is extremely nonplussed by other stimuli like rain jackets and plastic bags. In the summer of 2025, she started being ponied on the trail so she could experience things in a calm, non-stressful manner. So far she’s done extremely well with everything she’s been exposed to: bridges, water crossings, bikes, and even large-group-ride energy. In September 2025, she travelled to her first local show and competed in an in-hand obstacle class. It was her first time off property by herself and her first time in a covered arena and she was completely unphased. In 2026, we continued her exposure to new things on the trail and through participation in obstacle clinics in-hand. She also started ground driving in the fall 2026. We are so excited about this little girl’s potential!
